So, without further ado, meet the expert behind the animations, videos, and graphics, Brynn Mohr!
Brynn has been through every level of Hexcode Marketing. She first learned about Hexcode when our CEO spoke to her college capstone class about how to get a job in the industry. At the time, she was just a senior in high school, who was also taking college classes. From there she reached out about shadowing and seeing what the marketing agency life was like. She quickly realized it was a blast, and when a graphic design intern position opened up she jumped at the opportunity to apply. After the internship was done, Brynn was brought on as a full-time employee. So, let’s get a close-up of the timestamps that have impacted her career, and what channels she uses to stay on top of trends.
What is a personal accomplishment you’re proud of?
I think my biggest personal accomplishment has been earning two associate degrees, one in game design, and one in digital media. Fun fact, I graduated from high school, and with my first degree 2 days apart!
What is a professional accomplishment you’re proud of?
I have two that I’m proud of. My first one is getting hired at Hexcode. My second one is being nominated as Student Marketer of the Year! It was something I wasn’t expecting, and I was honored to be recognized for my work.
What is your favorite project you’ve worked on?
So far my favorite project has been the First Sergeant interview video I did for The Bourbon Salute. I was involved in every aspect of the project, which included setting up the scene, filming, asking interview questions, and editing the video together. This project really let me use my creativity and challenged me to create something entirely from scratch.
How do you keep up with changes in your corner of marketing?
I keep up with trends and changes or updates to software mainly from social media and following other animators and editors that are leading the industry in innovation. I do find that since I’ve started doing more video work I pay closer attention to commercials, streaming ads, and tv to watch what is popular and what consumers are seeing.
What are your favorite tools you use for your role?
If it’s Adobe I use it! But, my staples are Premiere Pro and Illustrator. If I need inspiration or I’m looking for color palettes or making mood boards I’ll head over to Pinterest.
What is your favorite thing about Hexcode?
I don’t know if I have a favorite thing. I love the creative atmosphere we have, and that I have so many opportunities to explore creative outlets. I also love that I’m able to create videos, animations, and static graphics. It keeps my day interesting!
If you could work with any brand in the world who would it be?
This one is easy, and I feel like it should be moved to the top of this blog so if they read it it’s the first thing they see. Dr. Pepper, if you’re reading this, I’d love to work with you!
