When Hexcode builds your website, our Director of Technology oversees the entire project from start to finish, in addition to developing the site himself. With his incredible organization and project management skills, he keeps our website projects moving smoothly and efficiently. We’re excited to introduce you to Donte!
Donte has been developing websites since 2012, and he has worked in marketing since 2014. He first attended Coffeyville Community College, where he earned his associate’s degree in Computer Systems Technology. He then went to Wichita State University, where he furthered his education before finishing his bachelor’s degree in Website Design and Development at Full Sail University. Donte worked in Human Resources in the Army Reserves for 11 years, and he was a cheerleader at both Coffeyville and WSU throughout his education.
Donte is passionate about learning and growing as a developer and loves to push boundaries. His driving force is taking care of our clients. Outside of his fulfilling work, Donte enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayla, and their two children. Plus, he’s an expert in all things Anime or Spider-Man.
What is your favorite thing about Hexcode?
Hexcode works with a lot of clients all over the board. We don’t hone in on only one area or industry, and we are able to use that experience when going from one client to another. This wide array of experience helps us think outside of the box so we can help clients in different ways that other marketing agencies in a niche field wouldn’t.
Who is someone who influences you?
My family mainly influences me. Aside from my initial passion for what I do—everything I do, I do so that my family will be taken care of. Success for clients means success for Hexcode, and success for Hexcode means success for my family.
What inspires you?
The end user. I keep the idea of how the end user will interact with the site and hopefully enjoy the enhanced experience in mind throughout a project.
What do you like most about your position?
I get to engage with clients from start to finish, working with them to ensure their vision comes to life.
If you could work with any brand in the world, who would it be?
CrunchyRoll, to have a hand in helping bring one of the things I’m most passionate about to the mainstream, as CrunchyRoll has been doing. It would be a dream.
How do you keep up with changes in your corner of marketing?
I tend to listen to a plethora of web development podcasts when I’m driving. My wife often gets on me because whenever we hop in the car for a ride, instead of hearing music, we’re always listening to some podcaster geeking out about tech and code.
