The one who started it all—today we’re talking about Chrissy Robben, the mastermind behind Hexcode Marketing!
Chrissy is from Conway Springs, Kansas, and holds a BFA in Graphic Design and a BGS in Political Science from Wichita State University. She has 14 years of marketing and design experience and has owned Hexcode Marketing for seven years. Outside of work, Chrissy stays busy traveling, reading John Grisham, and attending her four boys’ various sporting events. She’s also heavily involved in the Wichita community, where she serves on the Downtown Wichita Board of Directors, Wichita Chamber, Shockstarter Advisory Board, and Strong Business.
What is a personal accomplishment you’re proud of?
One of my biggest personal accomplishments was finishing college with two degrees as a single mom at the time. The other accomplishment I’m extremely proud of is being the best Mom I can be to 4 rowdy boys.
What is a professional accomplishment you’re proud of?
Starting and growing Hexcode Marketing. I am so proud of the team I’ve built and all the ways we’ve helped businesses grow and succeed. Another professional accomplishment that I’m really proud of is creating The Bourbon Salute with Pat Pelkowski and making a big, positive impact at McConnell Air Force Base with the funds we have raised with the help of the Wichita community.
What is your favorite thing about Hexcode?
Definitely our team and culture. Hexcode is built on an amazing foundation of caring for and taking care of our customers and each other. Working in an agency requires great collaboration with your team to build on each project. At Hexcode, we have a “we” mindset that helps us with accountability, quality, and making each project and client we work with better.
What inspires you?
The idea of making a difference in someone’s life and business. I love being able to help people every day and watch them and their businesses grow.
What are your favorite websites/apps/software/tools you use for work?
Everything Adobe, because it means that I am actually getting my hands dirty and doing the work! I started this business because I love being creative and bringing my ideas to life, so I appreciate still getting to dig into Adobe or even WordPress to make things happen!
What do you like most about your position?
I love getting to work with my team on projects and watching their expertise in action. I also really enjoy getting to strategize with my team on a client’s account, then watching that strategy work to help their business grow and succeed. Helping people is my favorite thing!
